Phi Sig Spike-April 8, 2011

Victory Celebration for Kappa Alpha Theta
Every spring, we hold our annual philanthropy, Phi Sig Spike, a 4 vs. 4 sand volleyball tournament. The purpose of Spike is to raise money for the Special Olympics of Alachua County. Special Olympics offers over 30 Olympic-type individual and team sports that provide meaningful training and competition opportunities for persons with intellectual disabilities. Last year, Phi Sig Spike was held at the Southwest Recreational Sand Volleyball Courts in early April. The winning team of the volleyball tournament and overall winner for Spike was Kappa Alpha Theta sorority. We congratulate the five individuals from Kappa Alpha Theta and coach/brother Aaron Simon for a great victory! We would also like to thank everyone else for their support in this great cause. Without all of your help, Phi Sig would not of been able to raise $200 for the Special Olympics of Alachua County.
If you would like to help with the upcoming Spike please contact Jared Greenspan, the director of Phi Sig Spike. His E-mail address is jgreenspan@ufl.edu. We would like to raise at least $1,000 for the Special Olympics of Alachua County this coming year. So, please come and support Spike in the Spring! Once again, thank you to everyone who went to last year's event and we hope to make the next Spike even more of a success!
