Our new member education program is six weeks long and includes weekly meetings with the New Member Educator. His goal is to make sure the new members learn everything there is to know related to the greek community, Phi Sigma Kappa nationally, Phi Sig at UF, and one's character and leadership development.

Letter from Phi Sig's New Member Educator, Connor Walroth:

Our new member education program has been completely reworked to appeal to the changing qualities of the students here at the University of Florida. While we do not consider our education program to be easy, each challenge is designed to make a new member a better student, a better brother, and ultimately a better man. None of our activities revolve around pointless pranks or “hazing,” not because it is prohibited by the university but because we do not feel it benefits anyone. Each week will present the new members with different challenges as they learn our fraternity’s history, how to efficiently manage a fraternity, and exactly what makes Phi Sig the closest brotherhood on campus. They will also organize social and service events and gain first hand knowledge of chapter operations. During the new member education process, new members will be given the opportunity to serve as assistant chairs or even full chairs if they prove themselves, and, soon after initiation could find themselves running for a spot on the executive board. Throughout all of this, the new members will be enjoying all the same social events that the brothers will attend and will work side by side with the rest of the brothers at service events. We hope every new member will find their time spent with Phi Sig to be a meaningful experience, and once they have earned their initiation, we hope they will always be Damn Proud to say they are brothers of Phi Sigma Kappa.

                    Damn Proud,

                    Connor Walroth
